Thin-film Solar Cell

Prof. Xiao Xudong (Department of Physics) is exploring innovative techniques for growing CIGS thin film solar cell by ultra-high vacuum co-evaporation method. The Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) based thin-film solar cell can be fabricated on soda-lime glass with low cost and high performance. Ultra-high vacuum co-evaporation method combined with vacuum laser grooving technology has excellent potential to manufacture high performance large-area CIGS solar cell at low cost.
