| About ASTRI (www.astri.org) Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the HKSAR Government in 2000 with the mission to enhance technological competitiveness of Hong Kong through applied research. In 2006, ASTRI was designated the Hong Kong Research and Development Centre for Information and Communications Technologies by the Innovation and Technology Commission. Its R&D efforts traverse five major areas: Communications Technologies, Enterprise & Consumer Electronics, IC Design, Material & Packaging and Bio-medical Electronics. An Exploratory Research Laboratory was also established to perform research on emerging and interdisciplinary technologies. Since inception, ASTRI has produced many world-class technologies. It has also nurtured teams of excellent researchers, produced a volume of intellectual properties and created real economic impact by transferring technologies to its clients in Hong Kong, the Mainland and the region. 應科院簡介 香港應用科技研究院（應科院）由香港特別行政區政府於2000年成立，其使命是要透過應用科技研究，促進香港科技產業的發展。 2006年，應科院獲創新科技署委託，承辦「香港資訊及通訊技術研發中心」。應科院的研究範疇橫跨5個相關領域，包括通訊技術、企業與消費電子、集成電路設計、材料與構裝技術及生物醫學電子。應科院並成立「信息研究室」，針對新興和跨領域技術進行研究。 自成立至今，應科院已研發出多項世界級科技，培養了不少卓越的研究人員，註冊了多項知識產權，並透過將嶄新科技轉移給業界，為香港、中國內地及鄰近地區創造經濟效益。 Job vacancy:
