Workshop Proposals

Proposals should include the following information:

- workshop title and acronym
- brief description about the workshop, including a list of topics
- name and contact information of the organizer(s)
- proposed duration of the workshop (half or full day)
- potential PC members for the workshop
- important dates of the workshop
- expected number of attendees
- brief introduction of the organizer(s) and their credentials

All papers accepted by DASFAA 2011 workshops will be published in a combined volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science series published by Springer (pending for approval). All workshops will benefit from the registration process of DASFAA 2011 (we will have a single registration for conferences, workshops and tutorials).

The workshop organizer(s) will be responsible for advertising the workshop, reviewing and selecting the papers.

Proposals and enquiries should be sent to dasfaa2011workshops@gmail.com with the subject: DASFAA Workshop Proposal.

Tutorial Proposals

A submitted proposal, which has to be no more than 5 pages, must provide a sense of both the scope of the tutorial and depth within the scope. Please include the main learning outcomes, the intended length of the tutorial (1.5 or 3 hours), and the justification that a high-quality presentation will be achieved within the chosen time period. Proposals that extend any previous tutorials of the presenters should state where the related tutorials have been given, and the differences made for DASFAA 2011.

Proposals must be submitted via email to tutorial co-chairs at dasfaa2011tutorial@gmail.com by November 20, 2010. After acceptance, a one-page tutorial summary will be published on conference proceedings, and the tutorial slides will be made available on the conference website.

Each tutorial proposal should include the following:

- tutorial title;
- contact information of the presenters: names, affiliations, addresses, emails, telephone numbers, and fax numbers; and
- brief biographies of the presenters.

Please send your inquiries to: dasfaa2011tutorial@gmail.com

Demonstration Proposals

All submitted demo proposals must be formatted according to the instructions for submission format for research submissions and must be no longer than four (4) pages in the Springer LNCS format. This page limit includes all parts of the paper: title, authors and affiliation, abstract, body, and bibliography. Accepted demo proposals will appear in the final proceedings (subject to approval by the proceedings publisher).

Demos will be selected based on (i) the novelty of the demo system, (ii) the novelty and the technical quality of the underlying research, and (iii) the demonstration scenario and applications of the presented system or technology.

For demonstrations running over the web, a back-up scenario should be described, in case of low connectivity at the demonstration venue.

Demo proposals should be submitted via the conference submission site.

Please note that for every accepted demo, it is required that at least one person registers for the conference and presents the demo.
