Synopsis:

The IBM China Research Laboratory (CRL) is one of the eight IBM Research laboratories worldwide. CRL is located in Zhongguancun Software Park at Shangdi District, in the northwest of Beijing. In 2008, CRL opened a new research facility in Shanghai to provide local partners greater accessibility to IBM research capabilities. CRL has been growing steadily and it currently has over 200 technical staff members among whom more than half are doctor-degree holders.

The research at CRL ranges from software research to industry solutions and services, which enables cross-pollination of ideas from a broad range of disciplines. The key themes include information management, next generation services, high performance computing, network technologies and future systems. Based on industry insights and advanced technical skills, we also tackle complicated business problems through the innovative analytics and optimization technologies and asset management.
Latest research projects and job openings will be presented by the speaker.
